Gen 4 VPS & Dedicated Servers Help

Set up IPv6 addresses on my Gen 4 VPS Server

IPv6 is the next generation of the Internet Protocol (IP) that addresses the limitations of IPv4, such as address exhaustion and complex network configurations, providing a scalable and efficient solution for the continued growth of the internet and the ever-expanding array of connected devices. GoDaddy Gen 4 VPS Servers allow you to configure and manage your server’s IPv6 addresses.

Required: Gen 4 VPS Servers created after July 18, 2023, have a single IPv6 address by default. If you don’t have an IPv6 address, you can request one in your GoDaddy account.
  1. Sign in to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. In your My Products page, select Servers.
  3. Next to the Gen 4 VPS you want to use, select Manage.
  4. Under IP Addresses, select your IPv6 address, and then select CTRL + C (CMD + C on Mac) to copy it.
