Understanding and setting my Close of Day time
Close of Day (also known as Close of Business) is when all transactions from the previous 24 hours are aggregated, refunds and processing fees are deducted, and any remaining payments are sent as a single deposit or payout into your bank account or credit card.
By default, your Close of Day (COD) time is set as 5:00 PM Pacific Time. All transactions made until this cut-off time are grouped into the payout initiated that day. You should expect to receive that payout into your bank account within 1-2 business days. Payout timing can vary based on your COD time.
Change my COD time
- Go to the Dashboard where you manage your Payments account (use your GoDaddy username and password).
- From the left-nav, select Settings and then Payments (if prompted).
- From the top-nav, select Payouts.
- Under Close of Day, select the preferred COD time from the dropdown menu.
- Select Save.
If you change your COD time mid-day at least 15 minutes before the current COD time, and the updated COD time is later in the day, it will be applied immediately. Otherwise, the current transacting cycle will use your original COD time, and the next transacting cycle will reflect the updated time. You can change your COD time once per day.
