Who can register .studio domains?

Anyone can register .studio domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration restrictions

When registering a .studio domain, you must follow specific requirements.

• Must use: 1-63 characters
• Can use: Letters (a-z characters), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd or 4th characters of the domain name)
• Cannot use: Special characters (e.g., & and #)
• IDNs: Supported

• Registration length: 1-10 years
• Renewal length: 1-10 years
• Your .studio domain renews on its expiration date. If auto-renew is turned on, we'll attempt renewal on its expiration date. If the first renewal attempt fails and you do not manually renew, we'll park the domain.
• If we cannot auto-renew the domain and you do not manually renew it by the 40th day after the expiration date, the domain will be canceled and removed from your account.
• Backorders: Not supported
