Add a countdown timer

Promote limited time offers or upcoming events with a countdown timer on your Websites + Marketing site.

1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
3. Select Edit Website.
4. Go to the page and location where you want to add a countdown timer and add a section, searching for Countdown Timer, which is under the General category, and selecting Add.
5. Set the start and end date for the timer, in your local time zone.
   Note: The timer will not appear on your site until the start date and time of the countdown.
6. Edit the messages that should display during and after the countdown.
7. Remove or edit the background image that will appear behind the countdown timer.
8. Edit the accent colors for the section.
9. Your changes are saved automatically. Select Preview to see the results. When you're ready to make the changes public, publish your site.
