Manage my Instagram settings in GoDaddy Conversations

After linking your Instagram business account to GoDaddy Conversations, you can choose which of your Instagram communications show in your Conversations inbox, and whether your Instagram icons are displayed in your website’s chat widget. The option to manage your Instagram settings is currently only available on Conversations for the web.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. If you have the standalone version of Conversations, scroll to Conversations Unified Inbox and select Web Inbox on the right.

    OR

    If you have a Websites + Marketing plan, scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site. In the left menu, select Conversations.

  3. Select Channels and Settings.
  4. Select Social Channels, and then, to the right side of Instagram, select Manage to see the settings for your Instagram channel.

  5. Select the checkboxes next to the options you want to enable:

    Post Comments

    If you previously connected Instagram to Conversations, the settings here will be disabled. Select Allow access, and then follow the onscreen prompts to enable these settings.

    • Import Instagram Comments: Allow GoDaddy Conversations to import comments that customers leave on your public posts.
      • Select Import All to import all comments, regardless of content
      • Select Smart Import to import only questions or comments that mention your Instagram profile.

    Chat Widget

    • Show Instagram Icon: Show a clickable icon for your Instagram business account in your website’s chat widget.

    Direct Messages

    • Import Direct Messages: Allow GoDaddy Conversations to import messages sent directly to your Instagram account.
    • Import Story Mentions: Allow GoDaddy Conversations to import messages received when someone mentions you in their story.
    • Import Post Shares: Allow GoDaddy Conversations to import posts shared to your direct messages.
