Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy Help

Email Forwarding is moving to the Email & Office Dashboard

Following the retirement of Workspace Email, we're moving your Email Forwarding accounts and credits from the Workspace Control Center to the Email & Office Dashboard. Your active accounts and remaining credits will be safely moved and there’s nothing you need to do to prepare for the migration. Please note that if any of your accounts are creating an endless forwarding loop, set up as a catch-all account, or aren't functioning properly before the move, they won't be included in the migration.

After your forwarding accounts and credits are moved, we’ll notify you, and you can start managing your accounts in the Email & Office Dashboard.

Note: Email Forwarding is independent of our other email products. If you own an email product, you can find out about your forwarding options for Professional Email and Microsoft 365.

What’s changing with the migration?

This transition is designed to be smooth and hassle-free. We’ll send you email notifications before migration. Once everything is moved, you’ll manage your accounts in the Email & Office Dashboard. You’ll see Email Forwarding listed as a product on your GoDaddy My Products page.

After migration, you can access Email Forwarding through the Email & Office Dashboard.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for migration?

No, you don’t have to do anything. We’ve got everything covered.

Will migration affect my active Email Forwarding accounts?

No, all your active accounts will be safely moved. However, if any of your accounts are creating an endless forwarding loop, set up as a catch-all account, or aren't functioning properly before the move, they won't be included in the migration.

Example: If an account like jane@coolexample.com is set up to forward to itself, it won’t be migrated.

What about my unused Email Forwarding credits?

While we’re phasing out the concept of ‘credits,’ you’ll be able to create as many Email Forwarding accounts as you want. There’s a limit to the number of accounts you can create, but we don’t expect most users to reach it.

How do I set up a new Email Forwarding account after the migration?

After migration, you can create Email Forwarding accounts in your Email & Office Dashboard.

Will I need update my MX record or any other DNS settings?

No, your MX and other DNS records will stay the same.

My Email Forwarding account isn’t working post-migration. What do I do?

Check and make sure your MX records match your domain. If they do, copying and adding an MX record to your domain or edit an existing one.

HostPriorityTarget
@0smtp.secureserver.net
@10mailstore1.secureserver.net

If you’re not sure how to update your DNS records, check where your DNS is hosted.

Who do I contact if I need help?
