What’s your story? Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to join GoDaddy.

Hi! My name is Paige, and I am a part of our US Corporate Recruiting team. I have worked at GoDaddy for the last 3.5 years. I started out on our Care Recruiting team supporting our local call center in Arizona, eventually moved onto our Corporate Care Recruiting team supporting more niche Care roles and a variety of internal moves/mobility, and finally found my current home on our Corporate Recruiting team. Moving from the Silicon Valley to Phoenix, Arizona, I was intrigued at the idea of working for a local well known/reputable tech company. When doing research, GoDaddy and the famous culture continued to come up (more specifically the office slide and famous all-out holiday parties). Over the last 3.5 years, the culture and team have not disappointed!

What is your favorite part about being a recruiter?

My favorite part about being a recruiter is the variety in my day-to-day work. Each individual role/team is different, and it’s great to get to know different people within the GoDaddy organization as well as learn about how each team impacts our overall goals, products/services, and our customers. It is also rewarding to watch the impact that your individual hires make after they start at GoDaddy, and potentially getting to work with them again as a hiring team instead of a candidate.

What advice would you give to candidates going through the interview process?

The best advice that I could give to a candidate going through the interview process would be to be prepared, professional, and most importantly, be yourself. Where you choose to work is where you spend a large portion of your time, and it’s important to feel like you can be your genuine self, and work well with individuals on your team. Being yourself can also lead to a more authentic and comfortable conversation with your interviewer to put yourself at ease through the interview.

What’s the most challenging yet rewarding thing that you’ve worked on at GoDaddy?

The most challenging thing that I have worked on at GoDaddy, was when I transitioned from Care Recruiting to our Corporate Recruiting team. Not only was it a new role with new responsibilities, but it was also a transition to a new team, mid pandemic. Over the past 1.5 years in this new role, I have learned so much about myself and how pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can lead to so many new and exciting opportunities and growth.

What’s your motto or personal mantra?

My personal mantra over the last few years has been “get comfortable with being uncomfortable”. Whether that has been when creating my career goals, pushing myself to achieve fitness goals, or traveling to new places and new experiences -- I have come to learn that the best rewards come from trying new things that maybe you wouldn’t do without an extra push. Being able to push myself out of my comfort zone has led to me where I am today. Without pushing myself through that, I wouldn’t be here and in my current role at GoDaddy!

How has GoDaddy helped you grow as an individual?

GoDaddy has helped show me as an individual, that you can value your career and professional growth, while still living passionately and enjoying life outside of work. With GoDaddy’s work-life-balance, I have been able to travel, spend time with family, and take the time I need for personal wellness all while pushing toward professional goals. I’ve realized that doing these things doesn’t need to impact the way you work or your success, but actually helps you come to work refreshed and motivated after taking the personal time that you need.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to explore Arizona! Being that I have only lived in the area for a few years, there are still so many places that I’d like to visit. I am a major foodie, and often spend my weekends trying out new restaurants, bars, and breweries. I love country music, and there is no shortage of western spots with live music. Sedona and Flagstaff have both become an easy get away over the weekend to get outside and hike and enjoy the diverse climate that Arizona has.
